Job description

AssistMe is a young, growing health tech start-up with a big vision: we want to improve everyday care in the long term – for everyone involved.

With our digital care assistance system alea, we bring innovation directly to the bedside. Our sensor-based solution for incontinence and movement monitoring reduces the workload for caregivers, improves care for patients, and protects the environment at the same time.

What drives us:

  • More time for real care: alea reduces unnecessary check-ups and simplifies processes

  • Better quality of life: for residents who receive dignified and individualized care

  • Less stress: for caregivers who can act in a more targeted manner

  • Less waste: through more efficient use of resources

We are currently rolling out our system in care facilities across Europe – and that's why we are looking for you: a new team member for our R&D Department.

    • Setting up and maintaining a controlled testing environment

    • Handling, mixing, and preparing chemical samples accurately for experimentation

    • Executing tests according to protocol and ensuring precise and reliable data collection

  • Document and organize test results systematically

  • Prepare clear and professional presentations to communicate findings internally and potentially externally

  • Assist in writing technical reports and non-technical summaries, supporting the preparation of academic manuscripts and scientific publications as needed

What we are looking for:

  • You are currently enrolled at a German university in Chemistry, Biochemistry or a related field (Bachelor or Master´s degree)

  • Strong interest in learning about odor profiles and conducting controlled lab tests

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, a team-oriented mindset, and structured approach to work

  • Independent and structured work style

  • Team player with a hands-on mentality

  • Good knowledge of English

  • Some experience with MS Office

  • German language skills are an advantage but not essential

Our Benefits:

  • Working student contract with good pay

  • Nice office located near Tiergarten S-Bahn station, close to TU Berlin

  • Flat hierarchies, agile team and short decision paths
