The Role

At AssistMe, you will join a team with a strong development background in working on the next generation of bio-sensors for prevention and early recognition of diseases.

AssistMe’s platform is a technologically complex hardware and software system and in the role of CTO, you will have the opportunity to set the technical vision of the product that maximizes the value it delivers to our customers.

Responsibilities

 

  • Participate in overall company strategy as part of the leadership team at AssistMe
  • Develop our technology strategy to build a reliable and scalable healthcare platform
  • Define our technology stack and lead the implementation of platforms both - hardware and software - as well as the systems infrastructure of our product
  • Managing the hardware and software development in a compliant and rigorous way, whilst maximizing the value add to our customers
  • Refining the product market fit, by pulling together early adopting customers as development partners
  • Recruiting and leading a team of industry experts and technology talent, to refine and scale market adoption
  • Manage the development and production budgets
  • Work in a close and trustful relationship with the founders, product and sales teams in a cross-discipline agile environment

 

Job requirements

  • Prior experience as CTO, technical co-founder, head of engineering or engineering manager
  • Several years of experience designing, building and bringing to market hardware and software products in highly regulated environments
  • Significant knowledge on hardware development lifecycle and production processes of IoT products or similar
  • Excellent problem-solving skills both - strategically and in detail - and the ability to inspire and motivate your team and others in the company
  • Experience in building and leading high performance engineering teams
  • Strong startup spirit (flexible and positive attitude) and love for dynamic work environments
  • Fluent in communicational English (oral and written) and excited to work in a diverse international environment

Nice to Have

  • Experience of developing, deploying and managing compliant healthcare products based on HIPAA, GDPR and other relevant consent and infosec regulation
  • Possess extensive knowledge of Agile based development environments, methodologies, and best practices
  • German language is a plus
